Literally the best. Been eating here since I was a kid. Try the Singapore noodles, rock salt shrimp, hot and spicy beef, and string beans

2016: 5/5 we had Szechuan shrimp with at least 2C of fresh and assorted veggies, a gorgeous sauce and huge shrimp
2018: 3/5 Med size shrimp, VERY salty, Maybe 1C veggies
2019: 2/5 the small-med shrimp was totally fried w batter (not Chinese) with 3/4C veggies that didn't seem fresh. I said I wanted lots of veggies several times.
Mgt suggestion: Describe your food. Familiarize yourself w what is Chinese food. Theyre big on veggies (no way is this being cooked by Chinese)
Ambience: best thing about the place; romantic w piano player.
Value: Overall, 1/5 the one point for Wine @$6 for about 1C wine was very good- the wine was of decent quality. Food prices had gone up with ratings decreasing.
Service (ap2019): Very bad.
My partner asked 1what type of fish was the "crispy fish". She couldn't answer and didn't find the answer. 2She was asked to make it mild w/o peppers/onions. It arrived w both. 3She didn't explain that the fish would be covered with a thick red sauce, even after my partner said..."this will be like fish/chips?" @$17, this was a gas attack. 4She was asked if wine came by the glass, she had no idea. 5Partner had a continuously empty coffee mug. Had to beg another waitress to help. The place was only about 1/3 full, so who knows where this braided wonder went.
To top it off, our fortune cookies arrived broken. -

This was my first time visiting here but definitely not the last! Came out for a birthday dinner and we ordered the meal for three. The meal could have fed six!
We started with the pu-pu platter. The shrimp toast was my favorite item on it, also the crab cheese was good.
They allowed us to switch out one of the entrees for another, for only the difference in cost, so we were able to get the crispy fish that the birthday girl wanted. It was delicious, and I loved the sauce. The rock salt shrimp was another favorite.
The service was great, speedy and attentive. We had enough left over for lunches the next day. I can't wait to come back, but it will be hard to try new things from the menu (which is huge!) when what we had this time was good enough to eat again and again! -

Def not worth the hype. Hunan is by far superior to This place. Just very basic. Also the the fried rice seemed very odd.

Best Chinese in Tri-City area! Crispy fish & rock salt shrimp outstanding! Live piano playing in dining-room. Friendly staff!
